About Newsfactory
Newsfactory is an independent publication that explains the stories the world is talking about. We cover six areas: economics, global affairs, technology, sports, gadgets, and arts and entertainment.
Too much news is written for insiders. We try to do the opposite. Every article is written in simple, everyday language so that you can understand what happened, why it matters, and what could happen next, without needing a background in the subject.
What you will find here
- Economics: markets, money, jobs, prices and policy, explained without jargon.
- Global Affairs: politics, diplomacy, conflict and the big events shaping the world.
- Technology: the companies, ideas and tools changing how we live and work.
- Sports: the results, rivalries and moments fans are talking about.
- Gadgets: phones, laptops, wearables and other devices, and whether they are worth your attention.
- Arts & Entertainment: films, music, streaming, books and culture.
How we work
We pick stories that many people are searching for and following right now. We research them from several published sources, then write our own original explanation. We do not copy other publications. You can read the full details in our editorial policy, including how we use technology tools and how we handle corrections.
Who runs Newsfactory
Newsfactory is owned and operated by an individual publisher based in India. Articles are published under the name Newsfactory Desk, which is how we credit work produced by our editorial process.
Independence
Newsfactory is funded by advertising and, in some cases, affiliate links. Neither advertisers nor affiliate partners influence what we cover or what we say. Our disclaimer explains this in more detail.
